Heat Wave

We're barley alive here running the AC full-time and doing anything we can to not die from the heat! The news people say it's the first "heat wave" of the summer and it's unusually early. Our temps have been anywhere between 94 and 98 degrees but with the heat index (humidity) it feels like we are well over the 100 mark!!! Now I've been through my fair share of hot St. George summers reaching 110 or even 115 I think but this humid heat is a whole other ball game. We discovered a new park today (well, new to us anyway) that had a large shaded playground and well as a big splash pad for the kids to get wet in with places for the parents to stay in the shade. It was nice even though I still felt like I was swimming in my clothes. Easton had a great time. Here are a few pics.

How fun! Brooklyn would love that. We are having the opposite problem here. Rainy and cold and apparently you can still go skiing in the mountains.

Easton looks so much older in these pictures, his little face is changing! It looks like fun. Carter has only been able to wear shorts a few times this "summer"... weird weather going on here. I miss the heat, but I am glad that now that I;m in the homestretch of the 3rd trimester that the weather is cool, It can get hot after this baby is born and thats fine with me! :)

Your little one is so cute! Is it humid there. If it is anything like Kentucky. It gets hot and humid. Lucky you! Hope your doing good!!

I am not looking forward to the humidity in VA either! This St. George dry heat is much more bearable than the humidity! I am really dreading it. I guess if you can do it, you can do it!

Ugh, hooray for not living in humidity anymore! My mom told me today that they are also dying of heat in Georgia. It's sure not summer-y here!

Hello Jessica!
I stumbled into your blog and found that you are living quite close to me. In fact I was in your backyard only three weeks ago traveling with my in-laws. Wish I knew you were down there. We are in Durham, NC. How long will you be in SC? Well, I for one am just tickled I found you! You also have such a well behaved looking son.
