Thanksgiving

This year was our first Thanksgiving away from family. :o( It was pretty lonely but we did find some friends that also were without family to celebrate with. I cooked my first turkey and made my first "full" Thanksgiving spread (minus the rolls that our friends brought). Thanks to my patient mother who got 50 phones calls by the time it was all over about how to do this and that. We are especially grateful this year for the new addition to our family and for all of our friends and loved ones. We are thankful for the gospel in our lives and for our strong family heritage. We can't wait to travel to Utah (St. George) for Christmas!!!

Congrats on doing the whole thing by yourself, good job! I've still never cooked a turkey in my life. I need to learn how!

I know...it's hard being away from family for holidays. I remember our first Thanksgiving away from home (when we lived in VA) and I was the same way...on the phone with my mom the whole day! Glad you still had fun with your little family. It will be fun to show off that little princess at Christmas! :)

Way to go Jess! I'm impressed. I just had to take my newborn and put her in the car. Oh, and bring drinks. That was tough! Glad you had a great day though.
And I love your new blog look!

I love the snowglobe!! That is so cool! You always have the cutest blog. I envy your weather...look at you guys outside, Scott and Mia in short sleeves... I love her little headband btw, and at least you got to put that gourmet kitchen to work cooking Thanksgiving dinner, right?
