Mental Health Day

I am writing this post especially to thank my wonderful husband for allowing me to take a "mental health" day yesterday. After our past few weeks I really needed this! In the morning we finished hanging our Christmas lights (I know it's a little late - we were procrastinating because it involved both of us getting onto the roof and me giving Scott a boost up to the very top eave which is sooooo stinkin' high). Around noon we had a bite to eat and then I was off. Scott stayed home with the kids while I headed to the outlets for some shopping. I meant to only be an hour or so in order to catch the 1:50 showing of Twilight but I was having such a great time and finding so many great deals that I passed it up. Hopefully I'll still get a chance to see it in the next 2 weeks or else I very well may be the last person on earth who has not seen it. :0) From the outlets I went to another shopping area and looked around until my 5:00 massage at Massage Envy. It this is not a little bit of heaven on earth then I don't know what is! The only bad thing was that it wasn't longer! After my massage I hit Petsmart for some crickets (we have a leopard gecko) and then got to go grocery shopping all on my own. I actually got to take my time and actually wander around and look at things. Such a great feeling as that has not happened for a very long time. I think I got home at around 7:30 or 8:00 completely refreshed. I called Scott a number of times to make sure he was holding up alright and each time he said everything was just fine. When I got home he had even cooked dinner and made me a cute note that was taped to the door from him and the kids that thanked me for all that I do as their mother/wife. It was so cute and a surprise. Thank you honey!!! Love you!

Wow- what a nice thing for you. I think me and Frank will both need one of these days as soon as the holidays are over.

That is awesome! I love those days. Now that my kids are older, I am getting more mental health days because it's lots easier to leave them!

Oh, and I haven't seen Twilight either, so you aren't alone!
