Paris here I come!

. . . . Parris Island, South Carolina that is. As a resolve to get back into the routine after having Mia I am participating in my first South Carolina triathlon on March 14th! Parris Island is the headquaters of Eastern Recruiting Region for the US Marine Corps and one of the most visited military facilities in the world. The triathlon (sprint distance) will take place at this facility and the swim will be held in the combat training pool. I hear they keep it at a nice 80 degrees. How cool is that!!! (much preferred over a lake swim, I know all about those gators lurking in the water - or an ocean swim, not brave enough yet)

Though I have not trained for an entire year, I've found that it is much like riding a bike . . . you never forget how to do it and once you get going it comes back quickly. And after all that time I still hate running. :0) So, now that I've spilled the bean there's no backing out. Look for a post in March about all the fun!

Good luck. That looks incredible. Yeah, I still hate running. I did one 5K and although I want to do another, I still don't enjoy it. There is something about doing it that makes you want to continue. How long is each event?

I need to get in shape and do another one!!! I am afraid though! At least I can swim better now and not have to cheat and go on my back.
