Too cute

I just had to sit down and write about the cutest thing that happened 2 nights ago (yes two, I'm a little late). It was time for Easton to go to bed. He said he wasn't tired and really didn't want to go to bed. So I told him that I was tired and wanted to go to bed (which I really was) and jokingly said that he could come tuck ME in. So, I headed upstairs and lo and behold, here comes Easton right behind me. He really was going to tuck me in! :0) I put on my pj's and he pulled my covers down for me. When I got in bed he pulled them up on me and then layed down next to me. He turned to me and asked which songs I wanted him to sing to me. I told him that he could pick and very soon I was being serenaded to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald (who had a cow and a duck), and Jingle Bells. Then he wanted to go get a book to read to me but I talked him out of it because one book means ten books and I was really tired. Then he told me he was going to tell me story. (This is something that Scott and Easton does - tell stories after they read books.) He told me the story of Dave the Unicorn. No joke, he spent about 5 minutes telling me the story of how Dave went out into the woods and he came upon a mean woman and something something the woman became nice. He then hugged me and gave me a kiss and told me goodnight and that he loved me. I asked where he was going and he said "back downstairs with dad." It was so cute! The entire time I wasn't really sure what to do. I wanted to laugh because he was taking it very serious and he did exactly what Scott and I do with him at night. I wanted to give him a big squeeze and not let go because he was just too cute. I wanted to cry because my little boy is growing up way too fast.

Oh what a sweet boy. You know he's going to grow up to be a wonderful father. And yes, they do grow up way too fast.
