Memorial Weekend

For Memorial weekend we went on our annual camping trip. This year we got a little more adventurous and travelled further north (3.5 hours worth) to the "upstate" of South Carolina near the N. Carolina border . . . the land of lots of green and waterfalls. It was absolutely beautiful up there! It felt like we were closer to home being in the mountains. Wish that were the case! :0) Though we had to deal with some rain, overall we had a great time. We camped at Table Rock State Park and enjoyed visiting Devil's Fork (Lake Jocassee) and Keeowee-Toxaway. We hiked Station Cove Falls, Isaqueena Falls, Stumphouse Tunnel, Carrick Creek, and visited the Oconee Station Historic Site. We got to make the trip with our friends the Hardy's so the kids enjoyed playing together and we enjoyed the adult company. I thought that we would get our "fill" by going once but I already can't wait to go back. Here are a couple of pics.

So beautiful! I'm glad you got a few family photos- it seems like I'm always the one taking the pic's so I'm never in them.

Carl has been wanting to go upstate and get some elevation to get out of the heat. This looks awesome, thanks for sharing!

Hey, my sister lives in Seneca and I love those waterfalls! My favorite from my last trip was the Oconee Station Falls.
