Kayaking & 7 Years!

I am behind on blogging but I'm going to try and catch up little by little as I can. Scott and I celebrated 7 years of marriage on September 4th. I don't know where those year went. It's wierd to think that we have now lived in South Carolina for just under half of our married lives. We are both hoping to get back to good ol' Utah as soon as possible.

To celebrate the day we went on a little kayaking trip on Folly Creek. Even though it was a busy Labor Day weekend it allowed us to escape the crowds and have some piece and quiet out in nature. Scott doesn't really have a good history with kayaks, or maybe just with me and kayaks together, but he "tamed the beast" and did really well. We saw all kinds of birds, a big 12 inch moon jellyfish, a gargantuan (sp?)bananna spider, and some dolphin. Let me also not forget about the swarm of mosquitos that tried to eat us alive. We got out of the kayaks and went to explore a little island and as soon as we stepped out of the breeze they attacked!

Here are a few pictures from the trip. I sure am a lucky girl to have Scott!

Congrats! That looks like a lot of fun. Tell Scott, I have a bad history with kayaks too. He is not alone.

oh how fun! Happy Anniversary! What a good idea to go kayaking! I have always wanted to try it - it just looks like so much fun! So my husband's uncle told me about an Urbathon (sp?) in Chicago this upcoming month (I am going back for the month of oct. fancy that!) and I SOOOO wish you all were going with me so we could do it together! It looks AWESOME. 9 mile run with city obsticles like buses to climb over, tires to dodge/run over, etc. TOO cool!
