The Joys of Moving

I've never had to move very far away before. It's always consisted of loading my belongings in the car and making a few trips back and forth across town until the transfer was complete. This moving "cross country" business is for the birds! First there is the "what do we need and what can we go without" process. Then there's the combing through of everything to make piles to be taken to the DI. Once that is complete you can start packing the things that you won't immediately need before leaving the house. On top of that you have to set up the transport comany to drop off and pick up the trailer when you want. Transport vehicles so that they arrive in a timely manner so you don't have to pay for a rental car. Coordinate air line tickets/flights to move away only to return for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The list could go on and on. Scott and I have found ourselves writing out many lists to keep ourselves organized so that everything happens as it needs to. We'll be pros after all this! :) Here's to living out of a suitcase for a few weeks!
