Moving & Hurricanes

So, we had no luck in closing on the house early but we are all set to close tomorrow at 11:00. Hooray! We did our final walk-through today and everything looks so great! Easton already knows which room is his. He calls it his "pirate room." Anyway, something that we thought would put a damper on our moving weather is all this hurricane action but it looks like we'll be in the clear. I've never been so into watching hurricanes/tropical storms in my life. Which, living in Utah, you really wouldn't need to be but South Carolina is a different story. Luckily the hurricanes tend to hit on the west side of Florida and into the gulf coast but occasionally give us a scare here on the east. Tropical storm "Hannah" is projected to be near the east coast come Tuesday or so of next week. One thing on my list of priorities after moving is to update and double check our emergency preparedness stuff and throw in some extras for hurricane stuff. Heaven forbid we ever have to use it!!! :)

Anyway, when I post again hopefully the house will be put together enough to post some pics of the inside. We also won't have internet access for a few days (how will I ever survive!?). My doctor gave me a big lecture today about moving and lifting things. I told her I would try my best to tone it down. It is hard to carry things with a big belly in the way anyway. :)

When we moved into this house, I was 8 months pregnant. I thought it would be so nice to just sit back and not have to do any work. Nope, it was so frustrating to not be able to help. I felt so helpless. And I did do too much. My back hurt for days, and I grew "cankles" that didn't go anyway until after she was born! So try to take it easy, but make sure you know where the Tylenol is!

Yeah, make sure you post pics of the inside once you get in! How close do you live to the beach? I hope you never have to be evacuated!

Ummmm- Ok, I didn't know you were pregnant. Did you ever blog about it?? Maybe it was way before I knew about your blog. Congrat's and good luck with the hurricane.
