Fred the Frog

This was the little surprise Scott found in Easton's shoe after sitting outside overnight in the backyard. Scott had acutally picked them up and brought them into the house not knowing about the frog. When he went to put them on Easton he saw it and shouted out a little "Ahhh!" and headed straight for the door. . . . . then we saw what he got all excited about.

Easton loves frogs and liked the idea of the frog hanging out in the backyard BUT we also needed Easton's shoe. So, we decided to make a froggie house. Easton and I made it camoflauged and added some pine straw. We named the frog Fred so we could write his name on the house.

We moved Fred from shoe to house and posted him outside the back door. He stayed for a while but this morning when we check to see if he was there, he was gone. We'll leave our little froggie house out there in case any others passing by need a place to stay. :0)

Fred is probably making his way down to our house. He heard from his other froggies in the 'hood that the Hardy's have got the tastiest flies in town!

Too cute! Though I have to admit, I'm glad I don't find frogs in my kid's shoes here in Utah. That would freak me out!

Oh...frogs so remind me of my time on the East Coast! Love Fred's bungalow - I'm qutie sure he'll be back - and probably bring a few friends.

Do you remember Mr. Hunt's biology class and much we goofed around? Do you also remember having to disect something? Was it a pig or a frog? This post for some reason brought back a few funny memories. :)

What fun posts you've been having. My kids have been dying for a pet and I'm thinking a frog isn't so bad. He must have loved that his little friend was making a home in his shoe. It was meant to be.
On another post, Easton's hand down that lady's shirt is killer funny and I love his ENTOURAGE! He's going to be a funny kid.

I like these kinds of memories. Just everyday kind of stuff that is really so special. Plus...I know Easton probably felt like the most important boy in the world, with the coolest mom, when you helped him make the house. I haven't been on in a while so I need to catch up with your older posts.
