Catching Up

I admit, the blog has been neglected lately. So many other things to do . . . . not enough time in the day. :0) In an attempt to get caught up I'm going to share some of the noteworthy things I had made a mental note to blog about.

Parris Island Triathlon
This past Saturday I participated in the Parris Island Triathlon in Beaufort, SC. It is held on the US Marine Corps Training Base and is always a pretty cool venue (except for when you get held up during the race by a platoon formation). I was fortunate enough to have Scott and the kids there as well as be participating with some awesome buddies from Summerville who I've been training with for the past few months. The weather was awesomely cooperative. We all got a little sunburned. Gotta love it. I took 3rd in my division with the following splits:
500 meter swim (11:37)
T1 (1:42)
10+ mile bike (35:51)
T2 (1:03)
5K run (27:45)
Total Time: 1:17:57

Photography Blog . . . . New Look!

I now have a fun new look on my Photography Blog. Spring is here and it's a great time to have some outdoor photos taken. Visit me at the blog or even Facebook. Make sure you become a fan!

Out of the Mouth of Easton

Lately Easton has said a number of things that have just made me laugh:

Easton: "Mom, I don't know why I keep coughing!??? Maybe I ate a beatle."

Easton: "Mom these are my bug bites (pointing to his chest - I know, nice terminology huh?)."
Me: "Yup."
Easton: (reaching over and patting me) "And you have big bug bites huh mom?" :0)

Today we were dusting the furniture in my room and Easton pointed to a picture of Scott on my nightstand. It was an engagement-type pic but he was wearing his tux.
Easton: "This is daddy when you were married huh mom?"
Me: "Yes, that's right."
Easton: "But mom, I'm not married to Loreli yet (his girlfriend next door)."
Me: "Nope, you don't get married until you get older . . . and after you go on a mission."
Easton: "Oh, and then when I get back I can marry Loreli?"

YIKES!!!!! Already at age 3
